A long-time West Manchester Township Police officers has hung up his holster for the last time.

Officer Keith Trapnell, who joined the department in 1986 retired last week, according to the department.

The decorated officer received a number of awards during his 26-year career with the department.

In 2007, he was one of two officers named Officer of the Year. That same year and in 2008, he received an award of achievement.

In 2011, Trapnell was awarded a chief's commendation, and earlier this year, he received he 25-year service award.
