The on- and off- ramps of Interstate 83 at Exit 10, the Loganville exit, will be closed this weekend for an ongoing improvement project.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the north and southbound ramps will be closed starting Friday at 9 p.m. and will reopen at 6 a.m. Monday.

That will allow a work crew to pave North Street and to construct new approaches to the on- and off-ramps, PennDOT said.

Detours that will take motorists on Susquehanna Trail South via Exit 8, the Glen Rock exit, from the south and Exit 14, the Leader Heights exit, from the north will be set up, PennDOT said.

North Street will be down to a single lane, and flaggers will be in place.

The work is part of an $11 million project to realign and lengthen Exit 10 ramps, widen and realign North Street and replace the North Street bridge over I-83, PennDOT said.
