A 30-year-old York City man was robbed at gunpoint by two people early Monday morning in North York.

Northern York County Regional Police said the man told them he met a person online and visited that person for several hours Sunday night at the person's home in the 1400 block of North George Street.

The man left and started walking home but was approached near the West Sixth Avenue intersection by two males, one of whom had a handgun, police said.

The victim gave his wallet to the robbers, who took cash but handed back the wallet, according to police, who did not release the victim's name.

The gunman was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt; his accomplice was wearing a brown jacket, police said.
