Police say a Dillsburg man used a propane torch to burn a woman's arm during an assault on Wednesday.

Kevin Eugene Crum, 28, of the first block of South Second Street, is free on $7,500 bail after he was charged with simple assault and harassment, according to court records.

The charges stem from the alleged assault, during which Crum burned the woman's arm with the propane torch, at his house, according to Carroll Township Police.

Crum was arrested and taken to the county's central booking unit. The woman refused medical treatment, police said.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 9, according to court records.
