York is in for rain and possibly snow Friday, and the weekend won't be much better.

The area will have rain Friday morning that should taper off, according to the National Weather Service. The rain will begin again in the late afternoon and evening, with snow possible early Saturday morning. Little to no snow accumulation is expected.

Friday's high will be 48 and the low 32, and winds will be from the north at 6-11 mph, with gusts up to 21 mph, the forecast said.

Saturday will be sunny and cold, with a high of 39 and low of 24, the NWS said. Winds will be from the northwest at 9-14 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph.

Sunday will begin with snow, changing to snow and sleet in the afternoon, then freezing rain in the evening and rain Sunday night, the forecast said. Sunday's high will be 33 and the low 31. Less than an inch of precipitation is expected.

The rain will continue Monday, with a chance of rain and snow Monday night, the service said. Monday's high will be 43 and the low 28.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be partly sunny and cold, with highs in the low 30s and lows around 17.
