Police say they believe the same man robbed the same Spring Grove-area store at knifepoint twice in just under two weeks.

The most recent robbery happened just after 8 p.m. Sunday when a man walked into Dollar General at 2100 Thistle Hill Road in Jackson Township, went to the customer-service area and demanded cash after showing employees a knife, according to Northern York County Regional Police.

The robber fled the store after getting an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

He was last seen heading westbound on foot, police said.

The robbery mirrors one that happened on New Year's Day.

During that robbery, a man went to the customer-service area, pulled out a knife and demanded cash. He fled with cash and was last seen running westbound, police had said.

Police believe the same man conducted both holdups. The robber is about 6 feet tall with a medium build. His jacket, pants, shoes, gloves and ski mask all were black, according to police.

No one was injured in either robbery, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police at (717) 292-3647, or leave a tip online at nycrpd.org.
