A York City man remains hospitalized after being stabbed during a fight in his home Wednesday night.

Covell Lamay, 20, was stabbed in the abdomen during the 8:30 p.m. altercation at 150 S. Penn St., York City Police said.

He was taken to York Hospital by ambulance, police said. His hospital condition could not be obtained Thursday morning.

Police Capt. Russ Tschopp said Lamay was on the second floor of his home playing video games when three males knocked on the door of the home.

Lamay's mother thought at least one of the men was a friend of her son, so she let them inside, the captain said.

The men went upstairs, a fight started and one of the men stabbed Lamay in the abdomen, Tschopp said.

Lamay told officers he didn't know the men, who left the home before officers arrived, police said.
