Maryland police are asking people to be on the lookout for an 11-year-old Dundalk girl who apparently was abducted Thursday morning, according to an Amber Alert.

Caitlyn Virts was last seen about 7 a.m. in the company of 38-year-old Timothy Virts, who was driving a black 1999 Dodge Durango with a Maryland license plate of 5AJ4458, authorities said.

Maryland State Police issued a Maryland Amber Alert for Caitlyn about 11:15 a.m. at the request of Balitmore County Police.

Timothy Virts is suspected of abducting Caitlyn, according to police, who did not say how the two are related.

Caitlyn is white, 5 feet tall, weighs 80 pounds and may be wearing glasses.

Timothy Virt is white, 6-feet-3 and weighs 280 pounds, officials said.

Anyone who sees Caitlyn or Timothy Virts is urged to immediately call 911, or call Baltimore County Police at (410) 887-7320.

Police warn people not to take action that could put them — or Caitlyn — in danger.
