Springettsbury Township Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for burglars who have targeted township homes in the last five weeks.

Burglaries were reported at three homes in the Haines Acres and Fayfield neighborhoods since February, Sgt. Brian Wilbur said.

All three break-ins happened during the daytime, when residents are often at work, he said. The burglars forced their way inside through locked doors and windows, police said.

Wilbur advised residents to call 911 immediately if they see suspicious activity, someone they don't recognize, or someone who simply looks out of place in the neighborhood.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call township police at (717) 757-3525.
