A masked robber holding what appeared to be a knife pried open the locked doors of a Spring Grove-area Dollar General store to get inside and rob it Thursday night, police said.

While his description is similar to that of the man who robbed the same store twice in January, it's too early in the investigation to know for sure, Northern York County Regional Police Lt. David Lash said.

The robber walked up to the front doors of the store at 9:13 p.m. Thursday, shortly after the 2100 Thistle Hill Drive dollar store in Jackson Township had closed for the night, Lash said.

The store's powered sliding-glass doors have multiple locks, but only one had been engaged, the lieutenant said.

The robber was able to pry open the doors and rob the store of an undetermined amount of cash, Lash said. No one was hurt.

Police are still looking for the knife-wielding man who robbed the store on New Year's Day and again Jan. 12.
