A man and a woman were arrested by West York Police after a Sunday home invasion burglary that left a borough woman with injuries to her face.

Charged in the assault are Craig Steven Jefferson, 30, of the 900 block of West King Street in York City, and Nikki K. Lartz, 34, of the 1900 block of Church Road in West Manchester Township, according to police.

Jefferson and Lartz are each charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, conspiracy to commit criminal trespass, conspiracy to commit simple assault and conspiracy to commit harassment, police said.

Jefferson is free on $20,000 bail. Lartz is free on $5,000 unsecured bail.

The pair are accused of assaulting Jefferson's ex-girlfriend at her home in the 1400 block of Monroe Street about 11:20 p.m. Sunday, police say.

The woman suffered injuries to her face when Jefferson and Lartz kicked in her front door, police allege.

Argument: Jefferson had been on the phone with the victim and got into an argument with her just prior to the incident, according to his charging documents.

Jefferson, Lartz and a second man, who was not charged in the incident, left the Manchester Township bar where they had been and drove to the victim's home, police said.

Once there, Jefferson and Lartz allegedly kicked in the front door, injuring the woman, who was standing behind it, police said.

The second man separated Jefferson and Lartz from the victim, police said.

The woman's face was slightly swollen and she complained of an injured lip, document's state.

Jefferson was arrested by West York Police at his home a little after 1 a.m. Monday, police said.

Lartz turned herself in to police Monday morning.
