A York City man accused of raping a girl over a two-year period is now in York County Prison after being denied bail.

Walter J. Lobo-Estrada, 36, of 217 S. West St., is charged with child rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of a minor.

He was arraigned on the charges June 9 by District Judge Ronald Haskell Jr.

In denying bail, Haskell noted Lobo-Estrada is a flight risk, that he is currently under investigation in a second criminal case and that he claims not to have his passport, according to court records.

The girl, who is now 10, spoke with detectives on June 4 and told them the Lobo-Estrada molested her repeatedly at a York City home.
