A man shot in York City on Tuesday is expected to survive.

Marquese Love, 21, is recovering in York Hospital after he was taken there by a private vehicle when he was shot in his right thigh in the 300 block of West Gay Street about 6:15 p.m., according to York City Police.

His injury is non-life threatening, police said.

Witnesses at the scene told officers they saw a man shooting from a vehicle, which later fled east on West Gay Street, police said.
