A Lewisberry woman died in a Sunday morning crash in Fairview Township, according to police and the county coroner.

Lottie Traver, 81, was pronounced dead at the scene, said York County Coroner Pam Gay.

Shortly after 9 a.m., Fairview Township Police responded to the two-vehicle accident on Lewisberry Road at the intersection of Siddonsburg Road and Front Street, according to a news release.

Police said Traver was trying to turn left onto Lewisberry Road from Front Street when her car was struck in the intersection by a second vehicle, which was traveling north on Lewisberry Road.

The second driver, 87-year-old Bernice Ryder, was transported to Harrisburg Hospital for treatment of her injuries, police said.

Police are still investigating the exact cause of the crash, the release says.

Gay said she believes Ryder's injuries are non-life-threatening, and there will be no autopsy for Traver.
