Weaver Eye Associ ates' car wash fundraiser held on Aug. 5 raised $1,482 for the York County Child Abuse Prevention Out reach Committee.


BAE Systems' York site celebrated its support of the USO and the United Way with a special employee outing to the Sept. 15 York Revolution baseball game. Site Communications Manager Randy Coble joined Revs President and General Manager Eric Menzer in presenting a check for $9,100 to Liberty USO of Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. The funds were raised from a July 4 game auction of special digital camouflage player jerseys and home runs hit by Revs players. Coble also presented a check for $3,989 to Bob Woods, executive director of the United Way of York County. The check, a donation from the Revolution representing 50 percent of the proceeds from ticket and concession sales to BAE Systems York employees for the game, will help fund United Way of York County member agency services.




Stewart & Tate Con struction has been awarded a project for Apple Chevrolet in York which consists of a renovating the automobile show room, lounge and offices.



John Gordon has been hired as project manager and systems engineer at 2K Networking, Inc., a central Pennsylvania technology solutions provider and system integration company.
