The Penn State York baseball team swept a doubleheader from Penn State Hazleton on Thursday, 14-8 and 15-1.

Tyler Page powered the local Lions in the opener, collecting five RBIs, three hits and three runs scored. He got support from Andy Taylor (three hits, two runs, one RBI), Wickham Simonds (four runs, three hits, two RBIs) and Ryan Mellon (four RBIs, two hits). Dan Rogers pitched two hitless shutout innings of relief for the Yorkers.

In the second game, Taylor added three RBIs, three hits and two runs scored, as did Collin Wallace. Other Yorkers with big efforts were: Trevor Neff (two hits, two RBIs, two runs), Page (two RBIs, one hit, one run), Joey Royer (two runs, one hit, one RBI), Rogers (two hits, two runs) and Brian Tutino (two hits, two RBIs, one run). Simonds got the win on the mound, pitching three one-hit innings. Mellon and Rogers finished the game in relief. PSY allowed just one hit in the second game.
