The West York field hockey team won the outright York-Adams Division II title on Wednesday with a 5-0 win over visiting York Suburban.

The Bulldogs finished division action at 7-1-0. West York moved down to Division II this season after spending two seasons in Division I, including a second-place finish in 2011. Before moving up to D-I, the Bulldogs had won three-straight D-II titles from 2007-2009.

On Wednesday, Morgan Miller and Holli Eppley each had one goal and two assists, while Courtney Ross scored two goals. Tori Gohn also scored. The Bulldogs held the Trojans to one shot on goal.


DALLASTOWN 2, NEW OXFORD 0: At Dallastown, after a scoreless first half, Hope Kohlbus found the back of the net at the 21:00 mark to give the Wildcats the lead for good. Bryna Cook scored the other Wildcats goal. Liz Lindt picked up an assist. The Wildcats held the visitors to zero shots on goal. For the Colonials, Amanda Groft made 13 saves in goal. Dallastown improved to 11-0-0 in York-Adams Division I. Dallastown won the JV match, 3-0.

RED LION 3, SOUTH WESTERN 0: At Hanover, Ali Posey, Alyssa Castle and Hailey Orwig each scored one goal for the Lions. Gabby Uberti made six stops in goal to record the shutout. For the Mustangs, Hannah Glover made 11 saves. Red Lion improved to 9-2-0 in York-Adams Division I. The JV match ended in a 1-1 tie.


SUSQUEHANNOCK 4, KENNARD-DALE 1: At Glen Rock, Alesha Herman led the Warriors, scoring two goals. Abby Hagee scored one goal and added one assist, while Julie Garofalo picked up two assists. Taylor Mumley scored one goal. For the Rams, Julia D'Arrigo scored the lone goal. Susquehannock won the JV match, 5-0.

BERMUDIAN SPRINGS 5, LITTLESTOWN 2: At Littlestown, Mackenzie Farley led the Eagles with two goals and one assist. Bermudian improved to 9-0-0 in York-Adams Division III. The JV match ended in a 1-1 tie.

DELONE CATHOLIC 2, FAIRFIELD 0: At McSherrystown, Kelly Kreiner's first-half goal was all the scoring the Squirettes needed. The JV match ended in a 1-1 tie.
