A York City man wanted for questioning in Tuesday's York City homicide is now wanted for allegedly shooting a man on Monday.

York City Detective George Ripley on Wednesday afternoon obtained an arrest warrant for Malcolm Bull, 18, of the 600 block of North Hartley Street.

Bull is accused of shooting Ronald Rhoades about 12:20 p.m. Monday at the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and Lincoln Street, according to York City Police.

Rhoades, 24, of Marbrook Lane, escaped life-threatening injuries. He was shot in the back of the leg and suffered a minor gunshot wound to the back of the head, police said.

Homicide: Bull is still wanted for questioning in the 1:10 a.m. Tuesday homicide of Edward Leon Green, police said.

Green, 46, of York, suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Detectives are still trying to determine why someone fatally shot Green as he was running away from them early Tuesday morning, but for now are treating it as a carjacking, according to Lt. Tim Utley, who supervises the city detective bureau.

He said the shooting started behind the intersection of Hope Avenue and Green Street, near the 400 block of West Princess Street.

Green got out of his car and started running north toward Princess Street, but was chased by two people, Utley said, at least one of whom was firing a gun.

He was rushed to York Hospital, where he died in surgery shortly before 2:30 a.m.

Carjacking? After Green's attackers stopped chasing him, they stole his white Toyota Camry, police said.

Police recovered the car about 8 a.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of West College Avenue, Utley said.

At this point investigators consider the incident a carjacking that turned fatal, but it's still too early in the investigation to be sure, according to Utley.

Anyone with information about the homicide, or Bull's whereabouts, is asked to call city detectives at 849-2219, or call the city's anonymous tip line, 849-2204. Or anonymously text a tip to 847411 (tip411), YORKTIPS.
