The Strasburg Rail Road off Route 741 East in Lancaster County offers two holiday-themed adventures for children of all ages.

Santa's Paradise Express Train, which runs every Saturday and Sunday until Dec. 16, is $17 for adults, $11 for children ages 3 to 11 and $3 for children under 3.

The Night Before Christmas Train, which runs on Friday nights Nov. 30 through Dec. 14, is $17 for adults, $10.50 for children ages 3 to 11 and $3 for children under 3. The Water Street Ministries will receive $5 from every ticket purchase.

--- The annual Glen Rock Hose & Ladder Co. model train display will open Friday at the Arthur Hufnagel Public Library, 32 Main St., Glen Rock. Show hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Fridays, Nov. 23 through Jan. 4, and 2 to 6 p.m. Sundays, Nov. 25 through Jan. 6, as well as 9 p.m. to midnight Christmas Eve. --- The Keystone Model Railroad Historical Society's annual Christmas display, "The Toy Train," will open Saturday at Fort Hunter Park, 5300 N. Front St. in Dauphin County. The model railroad layout features a drive-in movie theater, amusement park rides, a burning building, Thomas the Tank Engine and more. --- The Miniature Railroad Club of York opens its doors to the public at 1 p.m. Sunday for its 69th annual open house at 381 Wheatfield St., York. The display will remain open from 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays, Nov. 25 through Jan. 6, and from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 8 through Jan. 5. --- The annual Greater York All Train Show runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in the Old Main building at the York Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Ave. The show features dozens of tables of model railroads in a variety of gauges, with vendors and operating displays. --- The Red Lion Train Station Model Railroaders' 10th annual Holiday Open House, featuring an all-new three-rail layout, will be open Dec. 1-31 at the Maryland & Pennsylvania Railroad's Red Lion Train Station, 73 N. Main St., Red Lion. The display is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays Dec. 1-30 and from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 21, 27and 28. The final display night will be from 7 to 11:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, when winners will be announced in the Lionel train set raffles. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
