Police said they will file charges against a York-area man who had a tantrum in a Springettsbury Township McDonald's because the hamburger he ordered mistakenly had cheese on it.

It happened at 11 a.m. Friday in the McDonald's at 380 Memory Lane.

Angered by the misplaced cheese, the man knocked over a trash can, threw a highchair and left the restaurant, township police said.

An employee followed him outside to get his license plate number, at which point the man attacked her as she tried to call 911, police said.

He physically restrained her by wrapping his arms around her, then grabbed her cellphone from her hand, according to police.

The man threw the phone across the parking lot, then fled in his vehicle, police said.

The employee suffered minor injuries, police said.

Information from witnesses helped officers track down the man, who will be charged soon, police said. His name will be released after charges are filed.
