Police arrested three people and recovered drugs and two guns after a police chase Thursday morning ended in a crash.

York City Police said officers were called to the 200 block of East Boundary Avenue about 11:15 a.m. for drive-by gunfire. No one was hurt, police said.

A few minutes later, an officer spotted the vehicle believed to be involved and tried to pull it over, but it took off, police said.

Officers chased the vehicle until it crashed into a utility pole in the 300 block of Springdale Avenue in Spring Garden Township, police said.

The three people inside weren't hurt. They ran away on foot but were captured after being found in neighboring back yards, police said.

Officers also found two guns and illegal drugs in the area where the fleeing men had hidden, police said.

Charges are pending, police said.
