A Dallastown resident is one of 16 Pennsylvania residents who pleaded guilty to welfare fraud in November.

According to a news releases from the state's Office of Inspector General, 37-year-old Asia M. Al-Mateen fraudulently received more than $2,700 in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program benefits.

Al-Mateen was sentenced to three years of probation and was ordered to pay full restitution and costs, the release says.
