A New Freedom man is charged with burglarizing the same Codorus Township house a number of times over the past three months.

Tait Russell Allison, 24, of 16 N. 3rd St. remains in York County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail, according to online court documents.

He is charged with two counts each of burglary, theft and criminal trespass, documents state.

On Nov. 15, state police investigated the burglary of a home in the 3500 block of Sticks Road in which two diamond rings -- one valued at $1,800 and the other at $800 -- were stolen, state police said.

Police identified Allison as a suspect when he allegedly tried to pass a check belonging to the victim's son at a convenience store in New Freedom, police said.

During police questioning, Allison confessed to the burglary, telling troopers that he burglarized the house multiple times over a three-month period, police said.

Allison's defense attorney could not be reached for comment Sunday night.
