A "Stand Up For Your Community" meeting is set for 6 p.m. Thursday at Lincoln Charter School, 559 W. King St., in York.

The meeting is being held in remembrance of Joanne Borders. A longtime community activist and York City councilwoman, Borders died in September at age 67.

The "Stand Up For Your Community" meeting is a "call to action" meeting, information will be provided regarding neighborhood associations and other community groups that residents can become involved with to address crime.
