The Dover girls' swimming team finished first on Thursday at the 13-team Bulldog Bash at Big Spring High School.

The Eagles finished with 252 points, which was 34 points ahead of second-place Chambersburg.

Rachel Spaulding (first, 200-yard freestyle; first, 500-yard freestyle), Aniella Janosky (first, 100-yard butterfly; second, 100-yard freestyle), Summer Dacheux (first, 100-yard backstroke; third, 100-yard butterfly), Nicole Smith (fourth, 100-yard freestyle) and Morgan Staub (fifth, 500-yard freestyle) each had top-five individual finishes to lead the Dover girls.

The Eagles won 400-yard freestyle relay behind Spaulding, Mia Becker, Smith and Janosky, and finished second in the 200-yard medley relay behind Dacheux, Janosky, Shea Beierschmitt and Smith. Dover was fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay behind Spaulding, Beierschmitt, Dacheux and Becker.

Dover finished tied for eighth with James Buchanan at 76 points in the boys' field. Chambersburg won the boys' title with 220 points.

Casey Marshall was the only Dover boy with a top-five finish, taking second place in the 100-yard backstroke.
