The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Lower Susquehanna Valley, including York County, until Wednesday morning.

Residents can expect a light wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain starting late tonight and lasting through tomorrow morning.

The advisory expires at 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to the weather service.

The temperature will be in the low 30s and will be accompanied by a light accumulation of sleet with less than an inch of freezing rain, the weather service said.
