From art classes to world language and sports, the spring 2013 Student Enrichment Program at Southern York County School District offers classes for students from kindergarten through sixth grade.

Classes are offered after school at the three district elementary schools, beginning the week of Feb. 11 and continuing through the end of May.

Registration is open and available to residents and non-residents (for an additional fee). Classes include crafts, drawing and painting, German, gym and playground games.

Classes vary in cost. Financial assistance may be available for students of the Southern York County School District. For more information, contact Jill Platts at 235-4811, ext. 4325.

In addition, Community Education is offering a Coastal Environment Adventure in June for students who have completed fifth through seventh grades.

The three-day oceanography trip is a hands-on program at Assateague National Park and Chincoteague, Va. Students experience both high- and low-energy beaches, observe high- and low-water salt marshes, and experience area cultures. An informational meeting about the coastal trip will take place in February.
