Fire destroyed a vacant mobile home in Conewago Township early Sunday morning, according to Strinestown Community Fire Chief Steve Tawney, who said the blaze is being investigated as suspicious.
Firefighters were dispatched to the home just after 3 a.m., he said. It's located in the Meadow Run Mobile Home Park in the 5100 block of Susquehanna Trail North.
"It was fully involved when we got there," Tawney said.
Although crews quickly extinguished the blaze, the mobile home is a total loss, according to the chief. A damage estimate had not been determined as of Monday morning, he said.
No one was hurt in the fire and no one was living in the trailer, Tawney said. All utilities to the home had been turned off prior to the fire, he said.
A state police fire marshal is investigating and will forward his findings to Northern York County Regional Police.
