The boy's mother called police a little after 4 p.m. to report that her son was robbed in the area of North Adams and West Market street about 40 minutes earlier, according to police.

As the boy neared the intersection, two men, described as either two black or Hispanic males, began punching and kicking him. The men forced the boy from the bike and then fled the area, police said.
