The York County Coroner's Office has identified a woman killed in Dover Township early Saturday morning when her car crashed into a tree.

Katiejo Bryant, 27, of Brandy Lane in Mechanicsburg, died of blunt-force injuries and thermal injuries, Chief Deputy Coroner Claude Stabley said.

Bryant's body was badly burned during the accident. She was positively identified Monday through dental records during an autopsy at Allentown's Lehigh Valley Hospital, he said.

The crash happened at 12:34 a.m. in the 3100 block of West Canal Road when Bryant's vehicle struck a tree and caught fire, Stabley said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Northern York County Regional Police said the Kia Soul Bryant was driving was fully engulfed in flames when officers got to the scene.

Police said Bryant was westbound on West Canal Road, between Wynnefield Drive and Davidsburg Road, when she failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree.

Her car burst into flames and Bryant was trapped inside, police said.
