Glatfelter Insurance Group has organized a celebration of life event to remember the company's founder and local philanthropist, Art Glatfelter, who died Feb. 14.

Glatfelter opened the Glatfelter Insurance Group from a desk in the dining room of his Dallastown home in 1951.

A Marine veteran and advocate for volunteer firefighters, Glatfelter will be honored from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, at the York Expo Center's Toyota Arena, 334 Carlisle Ave. The public is invited.

A tribute to Glatfelter's legacy and philanthropy will begin at 3:30 p.m, according to a news release from the company.
