The 30th annual York St. Patrick's Day Parade will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday.

There will be entertainment from 12:30-1 p.m. in Continental Square, and the parade will go east on Market Street from Penn to Queen streets.

Market Street will be closed from Belvidere Avenue to Penn Street starting at 10 a.m., the city announced, and Market will be closed between Belvidere and Queen beginning at 12:30 p.m.

From 11:30 a.m. until the parade ends, George Street will be closed from Philadelphia to King streets.

Parking will be restricted on Market Street from Belvidere to Penn starting at 9 a.m. After 11 a.m., parking will be restricted on Market from Penn to Queen and on George from Philadelphia to King. Any vehicle parked on these streets after the specified time will be subject to a fine and towing.

City ordinances prohibit bicycles, roller blades, skateboards and dogs on the parade route. These restrictions do not apply to parade registrants. Alcohol is prohibited for all.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a 90 percent chance of rain and snow, mainly before 4 p.m.
