Police have arrested a man living in a Fairview Township motel for a second time for alleged possession of child pornography.

Michael L. Bennett, 52, is charged with a single count of possession of child pornography; bail was set at $25,000. Bennett is in Dauphin County Prison on a probation detainer, according to Fairview Township Police.

At the time of his Tuesday arrest, Bennett was on probation in Dauphin County after he pleaded guilty to child pornography and other charges there in 2009, police said.

During a visit with Bennett in his motel room in the 300 block of Commerce Drive, a probation officer found a laptop in the room, which is a violation of his parole, police said.

The probation officer seized the computer and turned it over to police. A forensic examination found 41 explicit images of males and females who appear to be underage. Some of the images show the males and females engaged in sexual acts, police said.

During an interview with officers, Bennett admitted to using the computer to look at child pornography for self-gratification, police said.
