William Penn Senior High School dismissed its students and faculty today at 1 p.m. because of a lack of air conditioning.

The school will reopen tomorrow, said Traci Mosley, an administrative assistant at the school's main office.

"It's very hot," she said. "Some rooms were approaching 90 degrees."

The air conditioning has been fixed, but the school dismissed early because the rooms were not going to be sufficiently cool for the students, she said.
