Police said no charges will be filed against the postal pooper who made two special deliveries at the Springettsbury Township post office.

Township police said the man defecated in the post office lobby about two months ago and made a clean getaway.

He returned to the Concord Road post office shortly after 5 p.m. April 8, where he squatted on the private sidewalk alongside the building, undid his jeans and let loose, police said.

Employees called 911 but he got away again, according to police, who said the employees recognized him as the same man who befouled their lobby.

Then about 2:45 p.m. April 10, the postal pooper returned to the post office and employees called 911 again. Officers said they found the man -- described as heavyset and in his early 60s, with balding hair -- sitting in his vehicle in the post office parking lot.

After questioning the man, police ended up not filing criminal charges in favor of what Sgt. Brian Wilbur called an alternate disposition.

"We talked to him and he's getting the help he needs," Wilbur said.
