The West York boys' lacrosse team suffered its first loss of the season on Wednesday night, falling 8-5 against visiting Susquehannock.

The Bulldogs dropped to 14-1 overall and 13-1 in York-Adams Division II. The loss prevented West York from clinching the outright division crown. Susquehannock improved to 10-7 overall and 9-6 in the division.

Thomas Nace (three goals), Zach Gloeckner (two goals, assist), Aiden Kirkendall (goal, assist) and Collin Riley (goal, assist) led the Susquehannock attack.

Web Burrier made 12 saves to get the win in goal.

Seth Clauser scored four of West York's five goals. Devyn Roehm added two assists.


CENTRAL YORK 17, SOUTH WESTERN 5: At Central, the Panthers rolled behind strong performances from Max Haldeman (six goals, two assists), Ian Desenberg (three goal, three assists), C.J. Belker (three goals, assist), Conor Thornton (goal, assist) and Collin George (two goals). Quin Albright (two goals, assist), Jaden Sanders (goal, two assists) and Cameron Sanders (two goals) led the Mustangs. Central improved to 13-2 in York-Adams Division I. They are tied for first place with Dallastown. The two teams will square off at 7 p.m. Friday at Dallastown.


DALLASTOWN 14, SPRING GROVE 7: At Spring Grove, Jacob Mitchell led the Wildcats to the York-Adams Division I victory by scoring five goals and adding three assists. Joe Didusch scored three goals for the winners, while Tanner Ierley and David Dygert each scored two goals and added one assist. Kyle Andrews scored two goals. For the Rockets, Coleton Reese scored three goals, while Trey Baker scored two goals and added one assist. Dallastown improved to 13-2 in the division and 13-3 overall.

YORK SUBURBAN 11, YORK CATHOLIC 9: At York Catholic, Ian Size led the Trojans with three goals. Anthony Bettencourt and Foster Hoyt each scored one goal and picked up two assists. Camden Kelliher scored two goals, while Mike Sipes and Justice Gettle each scored one goal and added one assist. For the Irish, Tanner Yanick had four goals and one assist, while Luke Brennan had two goals and one assist. Teddy Trapeni and Jacob Norton each scored one goal and added one assist.


SOUTH WESTERN 20, CENTRAL 4: At Hanover, Sydney Szparaga led the Mustangs to the York-Adams Division I victory by scoring four goals and adding three assists. Braxton Reddinger had three goals and two assists. For the Panthers, Jessica Ames and Allison Scott each scored two goals, while MacKenzie Windsor added three assists. South Western improved to 14-1 in the division and 15-1 overall.

YORK CATHOLIC 15, YORK SUBURBAN 7: At Suburban, Meaghan Bilyeu and Lindsey Givens led the Irish offense with three goals apiece. Shannon Moore, Alexis China and Natalie Fiorenza each scored two goals. For the Trojans, Karis Reiter and Karlee Wasilewski each scored three goals. York Catholic improved to 12-3.

WEST YORK 16, SUS QUEHANNOCK 11: At West York, Sara Sweitzer led the Bulldogs by scoring seven goals. Allee Ilgenfritz scored five goals, while Brittney Armpriester scored two goals. For the Warriors, Brooke Clasing scored five goals, while Carley VanLuit scored two goals. West York improved to 11-4.

SPRING GROVE 12, DALLASTOWN 5: At Dallastown, Shelby Grosberger (four goals), Jordyn Miller (two goals) and Abigail Hinson (two goals) combined for eight of the Rockets' goals. Kayla Thomas had three goals for Dallastown. Mary Eckert had 16 saves in a losing cause.
