It's never too early to hunt for the perfect Christmas tree.

York City is asking locals to consider donating a tree for placement on Continental Square during the holiday season.

The tree would be cut and transported at no cost to the owner, according to a news release from the city.

Evergreen trees 25 to 40 feet high are best suited to become the city's Christmas tree.

Anyone interested should contact the city's Public Works Department at (717) 845-9351.
