Susquehannock High School graduate Devin Geiman, a junior at Gettysburg College, was named to the Capital One Academic All-District Men's Soccer First Team on Thursday.

The team was selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

As a first-team selection, Geiman will advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.

Geiman was one of 13 NCAA Division III selections in District 4, which includes all institutions in Pennsylvania.

Geiman was one of four players to start all 17 matches this fall for the Bullets. A midfielder, Geiman helped the backfield maintain a strong defensive presence while contributing offensively with one goal and six shots. He scored his only goal of the season against Bridgewater College on Sept. 1. Geiman carries a 3.98 grade-point average in biochemistry and molecular biology.

To be eligible for Academic All-America and All-District consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his or her current institution and be nominated by his or her sports information director.
