The York College men's tennis team won six straight-set victories en route to a 9-0 victory over Frostburg State on Sunday.

Tyler Cheatham, Eric Cooperman, Matt Rosenkrantz, Jake Greenstein, Daniel Erk and Mario Herrera earned the singles points for the Spartans.

Cheatham and Zach Hanson captured the No. 1 doubles match. Rosenkrantz and Greenstein triumped at No. 2 doubles, and Erk and Herrera prevailed at No. 3 doubles.

York improved its Capital Athletic Conference record to 2-3 and overall mark to 11-9.

The York College women's team closed out its regular season with a 7-2 CAC setback against Frostburg. The Spartan women fell to 4-12 overall and 1-4 in the CAC. They will be the fifth seed in the upcoming CAC Tournament.

The Bobcats captured the first two doubles matches before the Spartans' Lauren Valles and Emily Skutnik recorded an 8-6 win in the third doubles match.

The Bobcats seized control of the match with wins in the first four singles matches. York's Emily Price breezed to a 6-2, 6-1 win in the fourth match for the Spartans' lone singles win.

The teams will square off again in the opening round of the CAC tourney on April 21 at Frostburg.
