The next stop for York County Libraries' Money School is from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at William Penn Senior High School, 101 W. College Ave. in York.
The free workshop is open to all York County high school students and their parents.
Held in the school cafeteria, the workshop will introduce students to the basics of managing checking and savings accounts, using debit and credit cards, the importance of credit history and how to create a financial plan, budget and goals.
This course is helpful for students who are getting that first job, saving for a car, or planning for life after high school, whether that means college or trade school, going into the military or straight into the work force. Money School is presented by York County Libraries through a Smart Investing @your library grant. Students and parents interested in attending the workshop should register online at www.yorklibraries.org. For more information, call (717) 849-6944.
