The annual fundraiser for the York St. Patrick's Day Parade returns from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at York Central Market, 34 W. Philadelphia St.

The lineup of local restaurants and catering services will serve appetizers, entrees and desserts featuring Guinness as the theme ingredient. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample each offering.

Tickets are $25 and must be purchased by Feb. 28.

Beaver St. For tickets by mail, send a check payable to York Saint Patrick's Day Parade to the parade at PO Box 1043, York, PA, 17405, and include your name and email address for confirmation of receipt.

Local food providers are invited to submit information for a free listing in the York County Buy Fresh Buy Local Chapter's third annual "Local Food Guide."


The guide will list food providers by categories including Farmer/Grower, Meat/Poultry, Grocers/Retailers, Farmer Market/Roadside Stand, Dairy/Creameries, Restaurants/Caterers, Community Supported Agriculture, Bakery, Wineries/Breweries, Nurseries, Food Processors and others. The guide will help consumers find fresh, locally sourced food.

Businesses listed in the guide must sell food primarily grown by themselves or another York County or adjacent county farmer/grower, or they must provide a service or product that includes the use of locally grown or raised products, or they must offer menu items using ingredients grown on a local farm.
