I write to express my heartfelt gratitude to the voters of York County for placing their trust in me to serve our community as a judge of the York County Court of Common Pleas. I am truly humbled to have received the public's trust to serve in elected office for the eleventh time -- the previous 10 times related to my 12 years of service in Congress and eight years of service in the state House.

I am pleased to also convey my family's deepest thanks for the tremendous support of so many friends, family members, and fellow York countians who supported my campaign. Whether it was campaigning door-to-door, working at the polls, making a financial contribution, displaying one of my yard signs, or speaking to neighbors and co-workers on my behalf, your support allowed me to once again conduct a positive, grassroots campaign for the privilege of serving in office.

Finally, I want to recognize the heroic service of our men and women in uniform, past and present, along with their families. But for the selfless service of these patriotic Americans, the freedoms we enjoy every day, including the right to choose our government leaders via the ballot box, would not be. I and all Americans are forever indebted to these courageous individuals.

There are no words to adequately capture my feelings of great humility, unwavering gratitude, and tremendous sense of responsibility regarding the trust once again placed in me by my fellow citizens. As with my prior service, I will do my utmost each and every day I serve on the York County Court of Common Pleas bench to be worthy of this trust.
