Recent news on the subject of school-zero tolerance actions brings into question the decision-making abilities of those administrators in charge.
They appear to be incapable of deciding what is a serious infraction and what is inconsequential child play.
Should they be in charge of educating the children? They become indignant when they are told the punishment does not fit the crime. A modicum of common sense should be a prerequisite for administrative appointment.
The playing of "cops and robbers" and "cowboys and Indians" did not turn children into monsters. Think what you like about that, but it isn't even in the same category as present violent video games.
Next Valentine's Day will be a real bummer if a certain school district has any say about it. Cupid will not be able to shoot any of his imaginary arrows. Maybe the administrators will suspend Cupid and cancel Valentine's Day.
Almost unbelievable, isn't it?
