No one was hurt when a man robbed a York City convenience store on Tuesday morning, police said.

According to York City Police, a man who had his face covered rushed into the Turkey Hill Minit Market at 209 Carlisle Ave. at 6:10 a.m.

He ordered a clerk to open the cash register, then took the money inside and also took several packs of Newport cigarettes, police said.

He is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic man, possibly in his 20s, about 6 feet tall, and wearing an oversized white T-shirt under a brown hooded sweatshirt, police said. The sweatshirt's hood was pulled over his face and he also was wearing oversized tan athletic shorts with a black-and-white stripe down the side and dark-colored boots, police said.
