People interested in becoming police officers can speak with officers at an upcoming recruitment night.

The York Police Testing Consortium will hold a recruitment night from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the York Fairgrounds' Toyota Center.

Officers will be on hand to speak with people considering law-enforcement careers, and local departments will have equipment available for residents to look at.

K-9 demonstrations are set for 7 and 8 p.m. in the main hall; other demonstrations will happen throughout the night.

The consortium is made up of 13 police departments around York County.
