Commuter Services of Pennsylvania has partnered with several regional organizations, including Eat Play Breathe York, to challenge residents to ride their bicycles to work next week.

The fifth annual Bike to Work Week kicks off Monday and lasts through Friday.

Commuters who ride their bike to work can log their activity at for a chance to win prizes.

State Rep. Kevin Schreiber, D-York City, will mark the occasion Monday by joining about 1,200 local officials and students who will walk or ride from Lincoln Charter School to City Hall, 101 S. George St.

The ride will begin at 9 a.m. at the school, 559 W. King St. At 10 a.m., Mayor Kim Bracey and student performers will welcome the group at City Hall.
