The York Suburban girls' volleyball team remained alone in first place in York-Adams Division II on Tuesday night, but it wasn't easy.

The Trojans outlasted visiting Northeastern, 25-20, 23-25, 25-20, 25-22.

Suburban improved to 7-1, while Northeastern fell to 4-3.

Maura Brehl led the home team with 14 digs and 10 kills. Alexis Gettle had 35 assists and 15 digs for the winners, while Luci Billet had 25 digs and six kills. Maggie Foster had eight digs and four kills.

For the Bobcats, Holly Shoemaker had 35 assists and six blocks, while Natalie Seitz had 15 digs and eight kills and Madison Reichard had 10 kills and 11 digs.


SUSQUEHANNOCK 3, RED LION 0: At Glen Rock, the first-place Warriors won the York-Adams Division I match, 25-12, 25-11, 25-8. Susquehannock improved to 8-0 in the division. The match was also the "Dig Pink" night for the Warriors, and to date they have raised more than $2,000. Leah Deter led the home team with eight digs, six kills, three aces and three assists. Abigail Bentz had seven kills, six assists and five digs, Rachel Moltz had 19 assists, four digs and three blocks and Genna Weger had 17 digs, three aces and three assists. For the Lions, Marley Vebares had five digs and three kills, Riley Torbert had five digs and Haley Barto had four blocks. Susquehannock won the JV match, 25-18, 25-15.


CENTRAL 3, SOUTH WESTERN 0: At Central, Erin Dobbeck led the Panthers to the York-Adams Division I victory, 25-20, 25-21, 25-23 with 30 assists, five digs and three aces. Andrea Quartey and Sydney Gallagher each had eight kills, while Hadley Swartz had six kills, four aces and four digs. For the Mustangs, Erin Harman had 10 kills and eight digs, while Mariah Krumrine had 16 assists and five digs. Central improved to 7-1 in the division. Central won the JV match, 25-13, 25-10.

EASTERN YORK 3, YORK HIGH 0: At Wrightsville, the Golden Knights won the York-Adams Division II match, 25-8, 25-11, 25-19. Lexi Rhein led the Golden Knights with 12 kills, 15 assists, four aces and three digs. Lauren Reichard had 13 kills, Leanne Lagowski had five aces and three digs and Erin Kalke had five kills. Eastern improved to 6-2 in the division. For the Bearcats, Jasmine Berry had four kills and four digs, while Leonna Elliot had two blocks and two digs. Eastern won the JV match, 25-14, 25-13.

YORK TECH 3, FAIR FIELD 2: At Spry, York Tech rallied for a 25-22, 21-25, 9-25, 25-20, 15-10 York-Adams Division III victory. Fawn Luckenbaugh pounded eight kills to go with three aces, two assists and three digs for the Spartans, while Savannah Grimes served eight aces and Lauren Bupp recorded seven assists. Adrianna Beattie had four kills for the Spartans. Cheyenne Fulcher filled the statistics sheet with three aces, two kills, three blocks, one dig and one assist. Fairfield won the JV match, 25-14, 25-6.

DOVER 3, SPRING GROVE 0: At Spring Grove, the Eagles won the York-Adams Division I match, 25-23, 26-24, 25-22. Bayleigh Hoffman led the visitors with 16 kills, eight digs, nine assists and three blocks. Lauryn Messner had 16 assists and seven aces, Alayah Hall had eight digs and four kills and Kylie Foust had seven digs and four kills. For the Rockets, Brooke Osborne had eight digs, five kills and five assists. Becca Keller had 20 assists and four digs, while Katie Mummert had six aces and four digs. Spring Grove won the JV match, 25-12, 25-9.

YORK CATHOLIC 3, BERMUDIAN SPRINGS 1: At York Springs, the Irish won the York-Adams Division III match, 25-23, 25-22, 18-25, 25-23. Zandria Zielinski led the Irish with 12 kills, four blocks and four aces. Kathleen Farrell had nine kills and eight digs, Natalie Stewart had 23 assists and Kendall Klair had five kills. For the Eagles, Madyson Whitcomb had nine kills. York Catholic improved to 6-2 in the division. Bermudian won the JV match, 25-12, 25-18.

WARWICK 3, DALLAS TOWN 0: At Dallastown, the Wildcats lost the non-league match, 26-24, 25-18, 25-23. Katie Pennewill led the home team with five kills, while Ashley Kohler had four kills and three digs and McKenzie Peters had four aces and three kills. Warwick won the JV match, 16-25, 25-20, 16-14.

NEW OXFORD 3, WEST YORK 0: At New Oxford, the Colonials won the York-Adams Division II match, 25-17, 25-19, 26-24. Bonaire Berry led the Colonials with 24 assists, seven digs and four aces. Kristen Faust had 10 kills and five blocks, while Karissa Floyd had 25 digs. No Bulldog statistics were available. West York won the JV match, 25-9, 25-9.

HANOVER 3, LITTLES TOWN 0: At Hanover, the Hawkettes won the York-Adams Division III match, 25-12, 25-21, 25-23. Madison Hart led the home team with 13 kills. Teammate Steph Howard had 10 assists, seven digs, four kills and four aces. For the Thunderbolts, Taylor Nicol had 10 digs and eight kills. Hanover won the JV match 22-25, 25-15, 15-7.
