Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams has begun an investigation of a new video involving the Hamburg High School football quarterback.

The video, which was aired by NBC-10 in Philadelphia and WFMZ 69, appeared to show Hamburg quarterback Joey Cominsky throwing a football at another player's chest. The video also appears to show Cominsky throw the football under the direction of Hamburg coach Joe Sinkovich.

"We have been provided a copy of the video and we are investigating this incident," Adams stated in an email to the Reading Eagle Tuesday night.

The development comes a week after a video of Cominsky's involvement in an on-field fight gained national media attention.

During a game against Annville-Cleona High School earlier this month, Cominsky ripped off an opposing player's helmet and hit him twice in the head with it. The South Annville Township Police Department in Lebanon County is investigating that video to determine if criminal charges could be filed.

Cominsky was forced to sit out last week's game against Northern Lebanon under PIAA rules requiring a one-game suspension for players ejected from games.

Attempts to reach Hamburg Superintendent Steven P. Keifer and high school principal Christopher Spohn to discuss the new video late Tuesday night were unsuccessful.
