The York College soccer teams had a whopping 14 players earn All-Capital Athletic Conference recognition on Wednesday.

The five-time CAC champion York men's squad placed eight players on the team, while the 2013 champion York women had six players honored.

For the men, seniors Aaron Beale, Tobi Iguade and Jake Hower each earned first team All-CAC berths. Seniors Chris Weaver and Daniel Baxter, junior Brad Schmidt and sophomores Brendan Saberton and Ryan Donahue each earned a slot on conference's second team. Donahue is a York Suburban High School graduate.

The York women had three players on each team. Senior Dale Mason was joined on the first team by juniors Melanie Glessner and Clare Chatham. Junior Kayla Kovalsky, along with sophomores Jamie Sokolis and Chelsea McDowell, represented York on the second team.


REYNOLDS HONORED: Central York High School graduate Erin Reynolds was named to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Field Hockey First Team.

Reynolds is a senior midfielder for Kutztown University. It's the fourth-straight year she's earned All-PSAC honors. She had 10 goals and four assists this season.
