West York outlasted Dallastown 3-2 in a marathon York-Adams League boys' volleyball contest on Thursday night at Dallastown.

The game scores were 23-25, 25-23, 27-25, 32-34, 15-9.

Austin Groff pounded 25 kills for West York and Brett Strickler supplied 30 assists to go with seven kills. Taylor Boyer assisted on 16 points for the winners. Mitch Grim made 21 digs and Josh Rinehart ripped nine kills.

Aaron Ward (12 kills), Owen Terroso (20 digs), Chadd Jones (12 kills), Nate Swartz (21 assists) and Dylan Fry (15 assists) were Dallastown's leaders.

The Wildcats won the JV match, 2-0.


Central York 3, Kennard-Dale 0: At Central, the Panthers downed K-D, 25-10, 25-6, 25-5 to improve to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the York-Adams League. Jason Gardner (10 kills), Dylan Hose (28 assists, six digs), Royce Clemens (16 digs), Alex Klunk (seven aces) and Jeremiah Dadeboe (eight kills) powered the Panthers. Josiah McConville had five blocks, four digs, five assists and three kills for K-D. Central won the JV match, 25-7, 25-14.


Northeastern 3, Spring Grove 0: At Spring Grove, Northeastern downed the host team, 25-7, 25-11, 25-16. The Bobcats also improved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the league. Luke Braswell (26 assists, seven kills), Reese Devilbiss (15 kills, seven digs), Matt Schaeffer (12 assists) and Philip White (nine kills) led Northeastern. Spring Grove was paced by Dalton Forbes (12 kills, seven digs) and Austin Muff (15 assists). Spring Grove fell to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the league. Northeastern won the JV match, 25-15, 17-25, 15-13.

York Suburban 3, Susquehannock 0: At Glen Rock, Ryan Bury led the Trojans to the 29-27, 25-20, 27-25 victory with eight blocks, five kills and five digs. Also for Suburban, Jake Kauffman had six kills, seven digs and five aces, Lars Dalemar had 19 assists and 12 digs and Ian Firestone had seven digs. For the Warriors, Brian Sheddy had 15 digs and six kills, while Stephen Rouse had 18 assists and Nathan Rohrbaugh had seven kills, three blocks, four digs and three aces. Suburban won the JV match, 25-17, 25-20.

Red Lion 3, New Oxford 0: The host Lions won in three games, 25-14, 25-19, 25-9. Jared Wagner (eight kills, 11 digs), Bennett Frey (11 digs, four kills, one block) and Austin Steiner (14 digs) paced Red Lion. The Colonials were led by Isaac Doan (11 digs), Zack McMaster (14 digs, three kills, one block) and Ryan McMaster (13 digs, three kills, two blocks). In JV action, Red Lion won in three games, 22-25, 25-11, 15-11.

Dover 3, Eastern York 0: The host Eagles won in three games, 25-15, 25-14, 25-20. Leading the charge for Dover were Brendan Warren (18 kills, six digs, five aces), Koi Xapakdy (11 digs, one ace) and Koleman Hoffman (14 kills, 10 digs, one block). Nate Myers (six kills, five blocks) paced Eastern.
